It's really great having my own pre-raphelite, red-haired muse to have on hand at all times for an impromptu shoot. My partner Nic, who is also an actor, is amazingly patient every time I get an idea for a shoot. The other week I wanted to experiment with an idea based on 1940s starlets which of course turned into a shoot based on the great Alexander McQueen's Highland Rape show, mixed with Elizabethan opulence.

This is one of the images from the shoot; the latter part of it obviously...

I went for a very strong Rembrandt lighting set up to add drama, which I wouldn't usually use with a female model but for this concept it worked really well. I love this image, it's very Elizabeth I as well as the obvious McQueen feel and I really enjoy doing fine art portraiture.

There's a few more images from this shoot to come, and I'll be posting them over the next week, all very different but all really great. Once again, it's great to have such an amazing model on hand who doesn't mind indulging my photographic whims every now and then!

Do get in touch if you'd like to arrange any kind of shoot, be it headshot of something a bit more conceptual like this. And keep an eye out for the other pictures from the shoot coming up.

Have a great weekend everyone,
